Nick
is a retired Seagoing Marine Engineer/New Construction & Operations Superintendent
who moved to Aylesbeare from Cornwall in December 2016. Nick moved to Aylesbeare to be closer to family and that he likes the rural setting
of the village. He joined the Parish Council in 2018 and states his reason
for joining is to help the community.

Mark has lived
in the village since 2000, having previously been in Marsh Green for eight
years. Mark is married to Liz with two children who are now away pursuing their
own careers. Now retired, Mark enjoys fishing, visiting National Trust places
of interest and walking. Mark joined the Parish Council six
years ago to help the local community and to give something back to the
village.

Tracie
moved to Rosamondford from Leicestershire with her husband, Richard & son
Bradley, as part of an employer 2 year relocation package - they loved it so
much, they stayed & have now been here for 14 years. Tracie
has many years’ experience in Financial Services working for a well know Bank
for 28 years & more recently in the property sector, providing training,
advice & employment throughout the South West. Her
reason for joining the Parish Council is to get more involved in village life,
now that her son has left home, & to help the community in any way she can.

Councillor Anna Thompson The Homestead, Perkin's Village

Anna
is a Chartered Surveyor and Chartered Building Engineer, who works all over the
UK and is happy to come back to Aylesbeare each week. Anna moved to the Parish
16 years ago from Hertfordshire to take up a post with EDDC. Anna lives with
her husband in Rosamondford and joined the Parish Council in May 2019. She says that her favourite thing about Aylesbeare, apart from the quirky mix of
locals and incomers, is the Nightjar Inn and says it is great to be able to
walk across the fields and past the Church to this lovely community hub.

Jacky moved to Aylesbeare in January 2017 after relocating
to Devon with South Western Ambulance Service, from Bournemouth. Jacky’s
previous career, prior to her ex-marriage, was in Dorset Police and
Metropolitan Police for 12 years. Jacky now works full time as an Ambulance
Dispatcher in Sowton, which is a job she loves. Jacky feels very privileged to live in the parish and more so to have joined the Parish
Council in July 2019 to assist in the community.

Kirsty is a HR Business Partner for a large local charity and lives in
the village with her husband Graham and two young children. Kirsty moved to
Aylesbeare 10 years ago and only joined the Parish Council in July 2020,
meaning she is the newest recruit! Kirsty says that the reason for joining
the Parish Council was the first lockdown, and that it was during this time
Kirsty realised just how amazing and special our community is and it made her
want to volunteer her time to the Parish. |
