Councillor Mark Branson

email via

Mark has lived in the village since 2000, having previously been in Marsh Green for eight years.  Mark is married to Liz with two children who are now away pursuing their own careers.  Now retired, Mark enjoys fishing, visiting National Trust places of interest and walking.
Mark joined the Parish Council six years ago to help the local community and to give something back to the village.

If you're interested in joining the Parish Council please speak to any of us or email the clerk     for further information.

Anna Thompson
The Homestead, Perkin's Village

Anna is a Chartered Surveyor and Chartered Building Engineer, who works all over the UK and is happy to come back to Aylesbeare each week.  Anna moved to the Parish 16 years ago from Hertfordshire to take up a post with EDDC.  Anna lives with her husband in Rosamondford and joined the Parish Council in May 2019.
She says that her favourite thing about Aylesbeare, apart from the quirky mix of locals and incomers, is the Nightjar Inn and says it is great to be able to walk across the fields and past the Church to this lovely community hub.

Jacky Owen

07742 318923

Jacky moved to Aylesbeare in January 2017 after relocating to Devon with South Western Ambulance Service, from Bournemouth.  Jacky’s previous career, prior to her ex-marriage, was in Dorset Police and Metropolitan Police for 12 years. Jacky now works full time as an Ambulance Dispatcher in Sowton, which is a job she loves.
Jacky feels very privileged to live in the parish and more so to have joined the Parish Council in July 2019 to assist in the community.

Councillor Kirsty Trude

Telephone 07792 937595

Kirsty is a HR Business Partner for a large local charity and lives in the village with her husband Graham and two young children.  Kirsty moved to Aylesbeare 10 years ago and only joined the Parish Council in July 2020, meaning she is the newest recruit!
Kirsty says that the reason for joining the Parish Council was the first lockdown, and that it was during this time Kirsty realised just how amazing and special our community is and it made her want to volunteer her time to the Parish.
