Beware of Covid 19 Test and Trace Scams

Criminals are trying to cash in on the new NHS Test and Trace process by sending out emails and texts, or phoning directly, to tell people that they have been in contact with a person who has the virus.  They then demand money for tests or tracing information.  Remember - Ignore these messages; you NEVER have to pay for an NHS Covid 19 test or trace.

The NHS Test and Trace website says

The NHS Test and Trace service will not:

  • ask for bank details or payments
  • ask for details of any other accounts, such as social media
  • ask you to set up a password or PIN number over the phone
  • ask you to call a premium rate number, such as those starting 09 or 087

For more information please check the NHS website.

Community Infrastructure Levy

We have received funds from local developers (called the Community Infrastructure Levy or CIL) that we can spend in our Parish, subject to certain conditions.  Up to March 2020 we had received £807.28 with more being paid to us this year.  The Council are holding on to the money and may spend it on some new sports and/or play equipment that the community has identified.

The report of the income and expenditure is here.
